Project Overview

YOKOHAMA MUSIC STYLE is a large-scale music and musical instrument event for music enthusiasts, instrument players, and anyone seeking new musical experiences. Exhibitors from across Japan include musical instrument manufacturers and brands, guitar shops, builders, collectors, and others. The event features the exhibition and sale of new and used guitars, guitar-related equipment and accessories, drums, digital instruments, used records, and more.
To make the event even more exciting, a special stage inside the venue will host live performances and talk sessions featuring well-known musicians and other guests.
The event aims to support exhibitors’ promotional activities and sales, cultivate new music fans and instrument players, and contribute to the growth and development of the music and musical instrument industries as a whole.

Event Content

Exhibition and Sale of New and Used Guitars, etc.

A wide selection of guitars from well-known domestic and international manufacturers to small independent workshops will be exhibited and sold, along with guitar-related equipment, accessories, digital instruments, and more. Special limited-edition models and vintage guitars will also be available.

Musical Instrument & Music Experiences

Visitors can try a variety of instruments at exhibitor booths, including electric guitars and basses, acoustic guitars, effects pedals, and the latest digital instruments. Demonstrations by musicians will also be held.

Instrument Purchasing and Trade-ins

Some exhibitors will offer purchasing and trade-in services for guitars, basses, and other instruments.

Instrument Maintenance

A guitar maintenance desk will be available inside the venue, where visitors can receive basic maintenance services from professional repair technicians.

Used Record Fair & Book Sales

Used records spanning a wide range of genres will be available, from nostalgic classics to rare records. Music-related books, including back issues, will also be sold.

Special Live Performances

A special stage inside the venue will host free acoustic live performances and talk sessions featuring well-known musicians and other guests. Special collaborative performances that can only be seen at this event are also planned.
The lineup will be announced on the event’s official website and social media.

Exhibitor Fees and Applications

*Examples of equipment that can be powered by a 1 kW (1,000 W) power supply: 2–3 large vacuum tube amplifiers + LED lighting for a booth + charging a PC or tablet, etc.

*If applying for multiple booths, Standard and Economy plans may be combined depending on the number of power supplies required.

*A maximum of four L or M booth units may be reserved. S booths are limited to one unit. Different booth sizes cannot be arranged next to each other due to layout restrictions.

*Each booth includes one venue-supplied long table (W1,500 x D600 x H700 mm) and two chairs.

*Booths are provided as open spaces. Exhibitors are responsible for decorating their own booths.

*To rent equipment, please submit a separate application form (available for download at the bottom of this page).

*Exhibitors may process payments at their own booths. A 15% sales commission applies only when using the central checkout described later.

■How to Apply / Application Deadlines

Applications to exhibit can be submitted using the exhibitor application form or Google form at the bottom of this page. *Please note that we may close applications once the maximum number of exhibitors has been reached, even before the application deadline. We appreciate your understanding.

General deadline for exhibition applications: Saturday, January 16, 2027; payment deadline: Tuesday, February 16

Payment of Exhibitor Fees: Invoices are scheduled to be issued after the respective early or regular application deadline. Your exhibitor registration will be considered complete once payment has been received.

【Important Notes】
Even if you apply during the early application period, failure to make payment by the deadline may result in the regular fee being charged or your application being cancelled.
Applications submitted on or after November 1 (Sun), 2026 will be charged at the regular rate.

Payment and Checkout

Exhibitors may process payments using their own payment systems or cash registers at their booths. If bringing a payment terminal, we recommend preparing a portable Wi-Fi device in advance, as the venue's Wi-Fi connection may become difficult to access.
Exhibitors who do not bring their own payment terminal or cash register may use the central checkout counter inside the venue. The central checkout can accept cash, credit cards, electronic money / smartphone payments, and QR code payments.
Transactions processed through the central checkout will be totaled after the event. The proceeds, less a 15% sales commission, will then be transferred to the bank account designated by the exhibitor.
Please note that the organizers cannot accept responsibility for payment-related issues such as fraudulent card use, or for refunds requested after the event.

Events and Demonstrations Within Booths

To help visitors discover exhibitors' products, L-booth exhibitors may hold demonstrations and other events inside their booths, including amplified sound. Exhibitors are asked to cooperate in ensuring visitor safety.

■Booth Event Regulations

Advance application is required in order to minimize interference with neighboring booths. Events cannot be held without prior approval.
Up to one 30-minute session per day may be held, for a maximum of two sessions over the two-day event. Exhibitors cannot specify the starting time. The event office will coordinate the schedule and contact exhibitors individually, tentatively in early February.
Sound levels are restricted. The maximum permitted volume is 70 dB.
Aisles in front of booths are shared spaces. Visitor traffic must be kept clear at all times, and spectators must be guided into the exhibitor's own booth area.
*If the event office determines that a situation poses a risk, we may ask you to cancel events taking place at your booth.

• Approx. 15-minute walk from Nihon-odori Station on the Minatomirai Line (Exit 3).
• Approx. 25-minute walk from Kannai Station on the Yokohama Municipal Subway / JR lines.

■By Car
• Approx. 5 minutes from the Yokohama Koen exit on the Shuto Expressway Yokohane Route.
• Approx. 5 minutes from the Shin-Yamashita exit on the Shuto Expressway Bayshore Route.

■By Bus
• Approx. 15-minute walk from the Nihon-odori Station / Kencho-mae municipal bus stop.
• Approx. 10-minute walk from the Osanbashi-iriguchi municipal bus stop.

Hall Load-in / Load-out

Loading and unloading can be carried out either from the far end of the venue parking area or from the hall's main entrance. Vehicles exceeding 3.5 m in overall height cannot enter the parking area.
There is no separate staff entrance. If the venue parking area is full, please wait until a space becomes available or use a nearby parking facility.
Large vehicles that do not fit within a standard parking space (up to approximately 4-ton trucks) may enter the parking area but cannot park there. When loading or unloading, temporarily stop in the striped area at the far end of the parking area. Vehicles must be moved after loading/unloading is complete.

Prohibited Activities and Important Notes

Exhibitors may not sublease, sell, transfer, assign, or exchange all or any part of their booth, whether to another exhibitor or to a third party.
Promotional activities outside your own booth, including distributing brochures, collecting surveys, or soliciting visitors at entrances, exits, or aisles, are prohibited. Even within your booth, please refrain from loud calling, clapping, or similar solicitation that may disturb neighboring exhibitors.
Please remain at your booth during event opening hours. Do not begin packing, boxing, or moving items out before the event closes on the final day.
The use of open flames and the bringing of hazardous materials into the venue are prohibited.
*Smoking is prohibited throughout the venue, except in designated smoking areas.

Security

Security staff are scheduled to be stationed at the venue to ensure visitor safety and strengthen security inside the event space.

Product Shipping

A shipping service counter is planned in order to accommodate the shipment of products after a sale is completed.

Booth Allocation

After the application deadline, the event office will carefully allocate booths while taking the overall exhibition layout into consideration.
Final booth assignments are scheduled to be announced in early February via the email address provided on the application form.
